These terms are the agreement between you and 1801 Labs for using Peel. By creating or joining a board, or signing in, you agree to them. If you use Peel for an organisation, you confirm you may accept these terms on its behalf.
1. The service
Peel is a retro board for teams. The core is free: unlimited boards and participants, every ritual and template, stickers and games, without ads. Paid plans (Pro, Team, Company) add history, team spaces, libraries, exports and integration extras as described on the pricing page.
2. Links are keys
- Anyone who has a board's participant link can read and write on that board. Share it like you would share the board itself.
- The facilitator link also contains the facilitator's signing keys. Keep it private.
- We never receive the keys. If you lose them, we cannot recover the board. Signing in and saving your key bundle (passkey or recovery code) protects against that.
- Posting a link to Slack, Teams or anywhere else gives everyone who can read that place access to the board.
3. Accounts
Participants don't need an account. Facilitators may sign in with Google, Apple or Microsoft. You are responsible for your account and your recovery code. You must be at least 16 to hold an account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Peel to:
- break the law, infringe others' rights, or share content that is illegal, hateful or harassing;
- distribute malware, spam, or phishing, or attack the service, other users or our providers;
- overload the service, scrape it, or bypass rate limits or plan limits;
- impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
Good-faith security research under our responsible disclosure policy is welcome. We may lock or delete boards reported for abuse and suspend accounts that break these rules. Because we cannot read boards, we act on reports and metadata.
5. Your content
You and your team own what you write. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, encrypt-at-rest and transmit your encrypted content and to post messages you ask us to post to Slack or Teams. You are responsible for the content you put on boards and for having the right to share it.
6. Free boards and retention
Boards that aren't claimed by an account are deleted 60 days after their last visit. Claimed boards are kept while your account exists. Export anything you want to keep.
7. Paid plans
- Merchant of record. Purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which is the seller of record and handles payment, invoices, taxes and refunds. Paddle's buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
- Prices include VAT or sales tax where applicable. The final price in your currency is shown at checkout.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from “My boards” → billing; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the EU, UK or Türkiye you may withdraw within 14 days of purchase; Paddle handles the refund. For any other refund request, contact us — we're reasonable.
- Changes. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect for your subscription.
- Supporter tip is a one-off voluntary payment that unlocks a badge; it does not create a subscription.
8. Integrations
The Slack and Microsoft Teams apps are subject to those platforms' terms. Peel sends links and metadata; card content is only posted when a facilitator confirms. Uninstalling the app stops all posting and deletes its tokens.
9. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Peel available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without guaranteed uptime unless agreed in writing for the Company plan. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue a paid feature you rely on, we'll refund the unused part of your period.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or EUR 50 if you use the free plan). Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, or your mandatory consumer rights.
11. Ending
You can stop using Peel and delete your account at any time. We may end these terms if you seriously breach them. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, liability, governing law) survive.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts and enforcement offices of İstanbul (Çağlayan) have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring claims there; consumers in Türkiye may also apply to consumer arbitration committees.
13. Changes to these terms
We'll post updates here and give account holders at least 30 days' notice of material changes.
