Support
A small team that reads every message. Most answers are below; for anything else, email us.
Status
This check runs from your browser, so a firewall or VPN can affect it. If boards won’t connect, email support with the time and your board id (never the part after #).
Recover a board
Your board’s key lives in its link, and we never see it. That keeps your retro private, and it means we can’t recover a lost link.
- Keep the facilitator link. Bookmark it or save it in your password manager. It contains the facilitator keys.
- Boards you create are remembered in this browser: open My boards.
- Sign in (Google) and set up a passkey or recovery code to keep boards forever and open them on any device.
- Lost the facilitator link but have the participant link? You can still read the board and copy what you need, but not run it.
Install the Slack app
- Click Add to Slack below and approve the scopes (
commands, chat:write, links:read, links:write). - In any channel, type
/retro(optionally with a template, e.g./retro 4l) and click Open to start. - Your browser creates the board and Peel posts a Join card that updates its status as you go.
- To mention action owners, a workspace admin re-installs with mentions enabled (adds
users:read).
Use Peel in Microsoft Teams
- Find Peel in the Teams app store, or ask your admin to allow it in the Teams admin center.
- In a meeting, add Peel from Apps to open it in the side panel.
- Click Share to stage so everyone in the meeting sees and uses the board.
- Participants join with their Teams display name (editable) and never sign in to Peel.
Delete a board or your data
- A board: open it with the facilitator link and choose Delete board. Boards without an account also delete themselves after 60 days.
- Your account: My boards → Account → Delete account. Sessions, key bundle and library go immediately.
- Can’t do it yourself? Email [email protected] with the board id (the part of the link before #). We’ll verify ownership with a signature challenge. We will never ask for the part after #.
- Uninstalling the Slack or Teams app deletes its tokens and stops all posting.
Common questions
I lost the facilitator link. Can you send it again?
We can’t: we never had it. If you created the board in this browser, open My boards. If you were signed in, your key bundle restores it on any device. Otherwise the board is unrecoverable, by design.
Teammates see “can’t open this board”.
The link was probably cut off. Some chat apps trim the part after #. Copy the whole link again, including #k=….
My board disappeared.
Boards without an account are deleted 60 days after the last visit. Sign in to keep boards forever. Deleted boards are gone for good: we can’t restore ciphertext we no longer hold.
Can the facilitator see my card before the reveal?
Yes, technically: hidden cards are sealed to the facilitator so they can be revealed even if you go offline. That’s why every board shows a “facilitator can preview” label while you write. The facilitator still can’t see who wrote what.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, from My boards → Billing. You keep paid features until the end of the period. Your boards stay; only the paid extras pause.
Where is my invoice?
Paddle emails a receipt after each payment. You can download invoices and change billing details from My boards → Billing.
How long does a board live?
Without an account, 60 days after the last visit, and it belongs to the browser that made it. Sign in with Google to keep it forever and open it on any device. Keep the facilitator link safe: it is the key.
Can you read our cards?
No. The key lives in the part of the link after #, which browsers never send to servers. We store and relay ciphertext. Hidden cards are sealed to the facilitator until the reveal.
