What is the Sprint Awards retrospective?
Sprint Awards turns the retro into an awards ceremony: MVP moment, Best demo, Best save and Funniest. People nominate moments and colleagues, then vote. It is light-hearted, but it also highlights the behaviours the team values, like the quick fix that saved a release.
The columns
- MVP moment
- Best demo
- Best save
- Funniest
When to use it
Use it at the end of a tough sprint, before a holiday, or every few sprints to keep retros fun.
Facilitator tip: let each person nominate at least one colleague who rarely gets visibility, such as the reviewer who unblocked everyone or the teammate who answered support at night. Close the awards with a quick Plus / Delta if the sprint also left problems to fix.
