What is the Superheroes retrospective?
The Superheroes retro casts the team as heroes: Superpowers are the team's strengths, Kryptonite its weaknesses, Sidekicks the people and tools that helped, and Next mission the goal ahead. It is playful, but naming the team's kryptonite often leads to honest conversation.
The columns
- Superpowers
- Kryptonite
- Sidekicks
- Next mission
When to use it
Use it to boost morale, with new teams getting to know each other's strengths, or as a fun change of pace.
Facilitator tip: start with Sidekicks. Naming the people, tools and teams that helped is an easy warm-up, and it reminds everyone that heroes rarely work alone. Then move to Kryptonite while the mood is good, and end on the Next mission.
