What is the Space Mission retrospective?
The Space Mission retro treats the sprint or project as a mission: Launch is how it started, Fuel is what powered the team, Asteroids are what hit or threatened it, and Destination is where it is heading. It is a fun way to walk through a project end to end.
The columns
- Launch
- Fuel
- Asteroids
- Destination
When to use it
Use it after a launch, at the end of a project, or for teams that like a theme.
Facilitator tip: spend extra time on Asteroids that nearly hit. Near-misses are cheap lessons: nobody is upset, but the risk was real. Turning one near-miss into a safeguard is often the most valuable action of a launch retro.
