What is the Movie Review retrospective?
The Movie Review retro tells the sprint as a film: the Hero is what saved the day, the Villain what caused trouble, the Plot twist the surprise nobody saw coming, and the Sequel what happens next. Storytelling makes it easy to talk about events and their causes.

- Hero
- Villain
- Plot twist
- Sequel
When to use it
Use it after an eventful sprint, for teams that enjoy themes, or to make a retro more memorable.
Facilitator tip: write the sprint's title before you start, like a film poster. Teams enjoy it, and the title often captures the theme of the sprint better than any card. Use the Plot twist column to talk about surprises the team could have spotted earlier.

Frequently asked questions
Isn't the Villain about people?
