What is the Team Health Check retrospective?
The Team Health Check looks at five dimensions of a healthy team: Speed, Fun, Learning, Mission and Support. Inspired by Spotify's squad health check, it gives teams a regular, anonymous way to notice trends before they become problems.

When to use it
Use it every month or quarter, when a team changes, or when you want data on how the team feels beyond delivery metrics.
Facilitator tip: keep the same five dimensions every time you run it. The value of a health check is the trend, and changing the questions breaks the comparison. Discuss only the weakest dimension in depth each round.
How to run it in Peel in 5 steps
- Create a Team health check board and keep anonymity on.
- Ask people to write how each dimension feels (good, okay, bad) and why.
- Reveal and group.
- Vote on the dimension that most needs attention and discuss it.
- Agree on one improvement and repeat the check next month to compare.
